The second volume of the series Pages from the History of Orthodox Monasticism in Romanian Theological Journals is dedicated to the history of Orthodox monasticism. The authors identified the studies and articles referring to metropolises and dioceses subordinated to the Romanian Orthodox Church throughout history and especially to the sketes and monasteries historically situated on Romanian territory – including in Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina at the time when they were part of Romania. A special section is dedicated to diocesan and metropolitan cathedrals.
